Livingston Parish Curfew Announced Livingston Parish Sheriff - TopicsExpress

Livingston Parish Curfew Announced Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard, Parish President Layton Ricks and Livingston Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Director Mark Harrell – together – have decided to implement a curfew for residents in Livingston Parish. This curfew will be implemented from midnight until 7:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. Only essential personnel will be allowed on Livingston Parish roadways. Our Livingston Parish leaders are concerned about current conditions on our roadways – and weather conditions expected overnight. While our emergency crews have been tirelessly working to make travel conditions as safe as possible, that is becoming increasingly difficult. The plan – at this point – is to keep our main corridors open. Our primary focus is Highway 190/Florida Blvd. and Magnolia Bridge Road. Crews are working with the state in an attempt to maintain overpasses on I-12 as long as possible – but due to weather conditions – this does not seem likely for the entire night. Our main goal is to get residents home safely. We are strongly encouraging everyone to remain in place until this weather event is over. **Please share with your loved ones and friends**
