Liz Dietz, Executive Director of the Fox Valley Humane Association, who was in charge during the Peanut the beagle fiasco, is no longer the Executive Director. She will be the events coordinator. Peanut was a stray brought in and the family that found Peanut wanted him and called everyday checking on the dog. One day they called and found out Peanut was put down. I was very critical of Fox Valley then. Maybe things will change. The old school of thought, iron-fisted ruling, my way or the highway running of a shelter is on its way out these days. Fox Valley is the one that had a 54 % KILL RATE ! THAT IS WHAT HAS TO CHANGE and I hope to see steps in the right direction.
