Local America’s Got Talent contestant Jimmy Rose will be performing live tonight from Radio City Music Hall in New York City and according to the singer/songwriter it is a different world compared to back home in Bell County. “It is such a different world here in New York, it feels like I am in a concrete jungle where everything is so large and fast and hard to get use to when all your accustomed to is the slow laid back kind of life,” explained Rose. Although Rose feels like his world has been turned upside down, he is ready for the opportunity and hopes to make his hometown proud. “I am ready for this moment, I am hungry for it and so honored for the opportunity,” continued Rose. “This is the Grand Ole Opry of New York, such a historical stage and I hope I make you all proud. God Bless you all.” There are three ways viewers can vote for their hometown pick — by phone, Internet and Twitter. Each performer will be assigned a toll-free number during the show. To vote, fans need to tune in tonight at 9 p.m. to see what Rose’s number will be. The numbers will all be 1-866-60-AGT##, with the ## being the contestant number. For example, if Rose is the first performer his phone number would be 1-866-602-4801 or if he was the last performer his number would be 1-866-602-4812. Voting will open at 10:55 p.m. and will remain open for at least two hours and possibly until 6 a.m. Wednesday morning. Fans can vote 10 times per phone line used. In order to vote online, fans must be 13 years old or older. Fans can either log on to NBC (using your email address or your Facebook account) or for tablets and mobile devices, download and open the free Zeebox app, NBC app or the Facebook app. If you wish to vote via Facebook, log into your account and go to the official America’s Got Talent Facebook page where you’ll find the America’s Got Talent voting application. For online voting, select the act for whom you wish to vote and then select the number of votes you wish to cast and click confirm. If your vote is received, you will get a message on your screen thanking you for voting. You may vote online up to 10 times per email address in each voting period regardless of method; any attempt to vote online more than 10 times per email address will not count, whether the votes occurred on NBC, via Zeebox, via the NBC app, or via Facebook. To vote by Twitter, follow the on-air instructions by tweeting the promoted hashtag and the name of the contestant. There is a limit of one vote per valid Twitter account. Main Street Pineville (MSP) and WRIL 106.3 The Big One along with Long’s Pic Pac, who is donating supplies, are sponsoring a viewing party on Wednesday in the courthouse square.
