Local asked to represent NZ in the Country Cup: 12 year old Tajlor Taiaroa has been asked to travel with other selected players to represent NZ in basketball for the Country Cup tournament in Albury NSW Australia. This 12 year old is sports crazy, and has represented Feilding Intermediate in netball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, hockey, rugby, badminton, touch and athletics!! She has toured to Dunedin in October for basketball nationals for Manawatu Under 13’s. It runs in the family as older sister Hayden Jade is travelling to the USA for basketball and 10 year old younger sister has been selected for Manawatu under 13 soccer. The family received the notification about the Country Cup on the 10th of November and it has been a mad scramble to get prepared for this opportunity. Tajlor’s mum has received a contribution from a Bulls family, the Bulls RSA have made a donation, a wood raffle is running, and the family is open to any fundraising tips, and of course would love to receive donations to make this happen, as there is not much time to raise the funds.
