Dome Creek is home to the Ancient Cedar Forest, there are 20 hectares of old growth trees and plant communities undisturbed possibly for thousands of years. Many of the western red cedars are likely 1000+ years old and greater than 2.5 to 3 meters in diameter. The forest is located 6.6km past the Slim Creek rest area. You will see signs just after the rest area The entrance is on the south side of the hwy. Its a must see!
