Location: Austin, TX Date Posted: 1/14/14 Closing Date: 1/31/14 Job Type: Contract-full time Wage: $16.09 hour VA-FSC provides customer support for internal and external customers by processing vendor and miscellaneous payments for other VA stations. VA-FSC offers payment resolution services to correct discrepancies and make payment transaction adjustments as requested by the field facilities. To assist and manage a growing number of transactions, the FSC requires additional support through qualified contract personnel. DUTIES: Provide help desk assistance with inquiries about payment status, reimbursement status, invoice processing, vendor registry status, in VA vendor databases, travel authorization status and VA system support for all financial and travel related systems. Be able to utilize Microsoft Office applications to correspond and interface with VA-FSC and its customers. Utilize VA systems such as Financial Management Systems (FMS), Document Managing System (DMS), Integrated Funds distribution Control Point activity Accounting and Procurement (IFCAP), Vendor Inquiry System (VIS), Purchase Card Information System (PCIS), Provider Portal, Staff Portal, On-line Certification System (OLCS) and the Concur Government Edition (CGE) travel system. Using VA systems, register new vendors in assorted databases. Ensure accuracy of information included in VA-FSC vendor file for service providers and VA customers. Analyze rejected payment data or invoices yet to be processed. Review documentation authorizing payments. Respond to written and oral payment and system inquiries. Provide system support for basic technical issues, such as registration, password resets. Identify system issues requiring resolution by a Tier 2 support group and create tickets or complete warm hand offs to Tier 2 support group for resolution. QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS: Minimum high school diploma or GED Minimum 1 year accounting experience. Must be able to favorably clear a federal background investigation. High Quality customer service skills. Ability to communicate effectively. Must be detail oriented and work with high level of accuracy. ENVIROMENT: general office environment, Job requires long periods of sitting, Repetitive hand motion, (keyboarding), with ability to type with speed and accuracy, Long periods of working on computer and looking at monitors, Ability to use phone to both listen and speak.
