Live the Adventure THE ROLE: A successful Banquets Server is a high energy team player who is guest focused. You must be able to work well in a team environment and be self-directed. Last minute changes happen regularly, so you must be able to adjust your plans on the spot to handle what is happening at the moment. You must be comfortable speaking to guests and assisting with solving problems with creative solutions. THE RESPONSIBILITIES: Several types of service involved, including plated and buffet dinners and breakfasts, working lunches, coffee breaks and banquet bartending. Complete set up and tear down of meetings, and functions, including the moving of banquet tables and chairs. Providing creative propping and room decoration for theme dinners and functions Catering to groups of 5 – 1000 guests Reading and understanding Banquet Event Orders. Direct contact with Conference/Sales Services Team and kitchen to ensure accurate setup of function Working with team members and individually Liaison with Audio Video department to ensure proper working of A/V according to function needs THE KNOWLEDGE: Must be dedicated to exceptional guest service. Must have Pro Serve Certification. Team oriented with an equal ability to work well on own. High energy and physically fit. Ability to multitask a definite asset.
