Lok-yi and I had a similar discussion yesterday about this behavior and churches. Locally, a satellite church we attended had a missions crusade that didnt necessarily go to missions but to pay down debt on a brand spanking new multimillion dollar sanctuary for the mother church so that more money would be available for missions later. They also needed a youth minister but the position was never filled so that money could be used elsewhere, where its needed. If you question the church hierarchy, youre questioning the will of God? Nope. I question the hearts of the people making the decisions in their own best interest.
