If youre a business that requires a deposit when someone makes a reservation you might want to mention that while youre taking their reservation. Leaving a message the day prior saying call us back within the next 3 hrs & give us (unsaid amount of) money or were cancelling is a quick way to irritate someone and make them go elsewhere. Calling back the morning of said auto cancelled reservation to confirm party is also a quick way to find out what I think of your business & why my 20+ will dine elsewhere. I have no problem with a deposit, but dont call threatening after the fact. Ask up front or if you make a mistake say that when you call to give the new requirements. If you arent competent enough to get 1 of 3 phone calls correct then why would I think youre competent to run a kitchen? Will not be dining @ Kobe Japanese Steakhouse... Ever.... This concludes my one & only rant for the day...
