Lol the farce on DeviantArt is getting way out there. The site decides to spend money on a new logo design (although people are satisfied with the old one) instead of spending time and energy on much criticized long overdue site bugs. Hey nothing wrong with a new look, but the new look is one most of the community doesnt like. It looks a bit like a crippled green Z or a lovechild between a Z and a $ symbol. When it is a favicon it looks like a green cross with thick crayons or a badly done cactus. Ok tastes are different, but then you read the sales pitch for the new logo. We love it because like DA people might not get it right away. o.O A logo is like a joke you tell, if you need to explain it afterwards you have failed and end up becoming the joke. Then follows an in depth explanation on how this logo represents the letter d and A with most of what makes it recognizable as such cut off and why this is amazing and new. Then the logo starts popping up in the most followed artists galleries, where they say they have been contacted by DA to do art with the logo in. Apparently all these artist love the new design, but it is still unclear if their assignment was paid or voluntary, which somewhat is significant in how much you can rely on it being true when they say they like it. The artists asked to do this are all very active and some of the most popular on DA, so they are followed by a lot of other members. Lastly, someone Googled the logo as an image and found this logo already in use somewhere else.... o.O Ahem.. cough Ill link the design manual for this with its nearly 400 pages of mostly negative feedback. They hid the first ones to give negative feedback, but I guess since they got called on not handling bad reviews and criticism and the negative comments kept pouring in they gave up censoring it.Ill also link the logo already in use by another company in a comment underneath it. :p spyed.deviantart/journal/Boldly-Facing-The-Future-498282387
