The Spirit HOuse with SpookSavers Loan Vigil is a new experience that SpookSavers are offering our customers, are you a paranormal investigator who enjoys being locked in a building in the dark seeking answers to the past and seeing who or what haunts a building? If so then this event is for you! By day, this venue is a relaxed retail shop and Spiritual centre. Many visitors pass through the doors - but when night falls and the lights go out, no 85 High Street becomes one of the most eerie, scariest places to be. The Spirit House was built circa 1544 (although parts of the house go back to the 12th century) it has seen many deaths in the building due to the surgical procedures that were carried out in the house. We will be holding vigils in the same areas where bodies were subjected to victoria surgery; we should remind ourselves of the pain and suffering that these poor patients went through as no anaesthetic was used! Built with Stone from Evesham Abbey, the house holds many ghostly secrets..... At night, when the doors close for evening, the lower floors will be opened up to SpookSavers for a night of paranormal investigation. There is a haunted cellar where guests are invited to spend the night…or at least try to – many have fled in terror after experiencing all kinds of strange noises and visions emerging from the darkness. The Spirit House also boasts its own Poltergeist, known only as Colin who moves heavy chairs around in the cellar! The ghost of a young girl and a monk are also often seen wondering around the house.
