Long Elf story, but so proud of our big man...couldnt resist sharing!!! We have Splitz the elf in our house because Braylon grabbed his legs the first day we unpacked him and kept doing the splits. We dont do the whole tradition with him because we thought he didnt understand (just like Im pretty sure you arent supposed to touch your elf, yet hes a toy to him). Well, Justin Streetman actually placed him somewhere this morning before he went to work without me knowing. Today Braylon and I were sitting in the living room playing on the floor and he starts pointing to the deer head and making an excited sound...which is odd because thats been there for two years and never once has he been phased by it. The first picture was my view and the second was Braylons view. Obviously I dont see anything but a deer, so I start saying deer and pointing too. So tonight Justin asks me if we found Splitz, of course I told him I had no idea where he was because Braylon had been playing with him. He proceeded to tell me Splitz was riding the deer. WELL HELLO SILLY MOM...THATS WHAT BRAYLON HAD BEEN TRYING TO SHOW ME EARLIER TODAY!!!! Its the little things with him, I think we both cried tears of joy tonight as we were so proud of him being able to recognize something like that!! I guess we will officially start the tradition!!!
