Long story. I phoned Kelly Tarltons for advice about the stingray. They were very helpful and said itll probably be fine as there are plenty of shellfish and small fish there for food. Tides coming in and out so although the bottom is muddy and stinky that should still be OK. A problem would only occur if there was too little water there at low tide and the stingray got too hot. But I think theres enough water down the far end to negate that problem. I phoned the park ranger to find out when the far tunnel is going to be opened but shes away on holiday till next week. Will update then. Made several other phone calls and found out that DoC are keeping there eye on the stingray, but they were under the mistaken impression that it could get out if it wanted to. I left the lady on the phone in no doubt that it was a prisoner and she promised to pass the message on. Done all I can for the moment.
