Look at this. This is exactly what Im talking about. Now if youre not a black/darker person, this works for you. But, if you are, it escapes me how you cannot see how profoundly you injure yourself when you persist in using images and words for black and dark that mean bad/incorrect things. It escapes me how black people cannot see how *monumentally* important this is. If you are a black person who uses dark or black as a synonym for anything unwholesome, how can you also be a person who is indignant that Target Stores are using a white model for its Annie clothing section? Can somebody explain this to me like Im a six-year-old?
