Look for this more in the next two years, as Republicans - TopicsExpress

Look for this more in the next two years, as Republicans desperately try to find a way to win a White House that has eluded them for the past two presidential election cycles. Despite their public confidence that they are the party of superior ideas and an alleged willingness to compete in the free marketplace of ideas, there actions behind closed door suggest something else. This is the plan to bifurcate electoral votes into the districts won by the presidential candidate, rather than the traditional winner-takes-all we currently have. Republicans are only doing this in red states that President Obama won in 2008 and 2012, so any red state carried by McCain or Romney would not be opened to vote-splitting that would benefit the Democratic Party. With districts safely gerrymandered to within an inch of their lives, the Republicans are trying to do what they cannot on a level playing field. Tell me again which party cares about an equal voice in government?
