Looking Forward Into 2015 Philippians 3:12-14 12 I don’t mean - TopicsExpress

Looking Forward Into 2015 Philippians 3:12-14 12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Although we know we are not perfect we must always strive to be the best Christian we can be. When we look at the name Christian it begins with CHRIST, we too must begin our day with Christ by going to God praying in Jesus name. As we move into 2015 we cannot afford to relive our past mistakes, but rather we must look forward to what God has in store for us. Begin each day in prayer not reliving the mistakes of the past, but rather learning from them and becoming a better Christian. We should always press forward towards the mark of the high or heavenly calling that Jesus has set before us. If we look back we are playing into the enemys hand, but when we look forward we are taking a step towards the goal that God has set before us. Keep looking forward and you will surely receive the prize that God has in store for you in 2015. May the God of peace and the peace and love of God be with you always!
