Interesting to see how a community is actually doing what WE will need to do in RLB after the Rollins Road Gateway Project is finished (and what we should actively be planning for NOW)! "Storrs Center is an attempt to create a mixed-use town center in a community that never had one. The Town of Mansfield began the complicated process of planning a town center in 2000. The "grand opening" of Storrs Center was held Friday, Sept. 20, about a year after the first building opened. [Over a DECADE after planning began!] A future phase will include a town square... and provide an important public space for the town. --> Storrs Center streets are relatively narrow and designed for human scale.
