(Credit: VNA) Nhan Dan Online – On the occasion of the 67th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27), leaders of the Party, State and the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) on July 25 laid a floral wreath and offered incense to commemorate fallen soldiers at the Fallen Soldiers’ and Heroes’ Memorial, and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his Mausoleum in Hanoi. The delegation included General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, State President Truong Tan Sang, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, President of the VFF Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan, Politburo members, Party Central Committee secretaries, deputy PMs, NA Vice chairmen and chairwomen, leaders of central agencies, former Party and State leaders and revolutionary veterans. They expressed their deep gratitude to the fallen soldiers and heroes who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence and freedom, while paying great respect and commemoration to President Ho Chi Minh for his merits to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. The same day, a delegation of Party committees of the ministries of National Defence, Public Security, Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee and People’s Committee also carried out the functions at the War Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Memorial and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.
