Looking at old photos of the store in Austin and feeling super - TopicsExpress

Looking at old photos of the store in Austin and feeling super bummed. I see photos of an 18 month old Aidan helping to sweep up the place; Emma posing on the red carpet for our first SXSW event; Dylan being held by our store manager who became like family to us. A lot of memories were made there. Pouring your heart and soul into a business and being forced to sell it has to be one of the worst feelings in the world. Many of you knew that we chose to move to California for some great business opportunities, which is true, but another reason was because it would have been incredibly tough to drive by our store and have it no longer be ours. Sit on the wooden shoe box Matt built and Eddy wrapped over at East End. Look at the exterior windows where Larrys art hangs and where Robbs art was just a short time ago. Just too much, you know? All I can say now is that I am grateful that we had the store for as long as we did and that it was that store that brought some of these great people and others into my life.
