Looking for 7 years B.E/B.Tech (Mech/Civil/Chemical) from Process Manufacturing Industry - For the Role of AM/DM Production Line In-Charge @ Building Material Manufacturing Plant @ Chennai - RUSH Profiles to pushpa.a@horizonhrpartners JOB PROFILE Designation: Line Incharge (AM/DM) Required Experience: Minimum 7 years, preferably in a process manufacturing industry Required Qualification: Mechanical/Civil/Chemical Engineer JOB DESCRIPTION The Line incharge is responsible for pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage. He will be involved to some extent in the product/plant improvements, purchasing of raw materials, spares and consumables, equipment commissioning etc. He will be required to liaison with other functions, such as sales and finance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLES Fix and achieve production, maintenance, quality & dispatch targets. Oversee the production process, drawing up a production schedule, monitoring and adjusting schedules as needed Minimize breakdown by planning and executing proactive maintenance. Adopt measures of productivity enhancement & continual improvement of the plant and equipment. Install and commission new equipment with the help of the parent company. Working out the human and material resources needed. Effectively utilize the company resources by adopting various innovative ideas of Production, Maintenance and Installation etc. Ensure energy conservation, optimal utilization of fuels. Look into elimination of reworking, minimize rejects and wastages. Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed Ensure statutory provisions under various applicable laws are complied with. Supervise and motivate a team of workers. Review performance of subordinates. Identify training needs. KEY SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: Proactive, innovative and analytical in approach To liaise with agencies related to the working of the unit Knowledge of TPS, 5’S”, Kaizen, OEE etc. Well versed with working of PLC’s, dryers, pumps, mixers, boilers etc. Operative computer skills Good communication skills Knowledge and understanding of environmental norms/applications.
