Position: Development Officer (Director of Grateful Patient Fundraising and Community Relations) will be responsible for management of community relations, engagement and the grateful patient program at Fairview Southdale Hospital. The Officer will work with other members of the Foundation staff, administration, board members, and site leadership and volunteers to assure that maximum coordinated efforts are employed. The officer will be responsible for managing prospect identification, cultivation, recognition, and relationship building leading to community engagement and major gifts. The Officer will also be responsible for coordination and implementation of development communications in conjunction with PR/Marketing staff. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, education, psychology, English, liberal arts, or related field conducive to major gift fundraising. Minimum of five years in fundraising, with experience in fundraising solicitation and program management. Preferred: Professional affiliation with a fundraising association, i.e., Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) or the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). CFRE.
