Looking for a rarely seen cichlid? Why not get a Blue Moorii Cyrtocara moorii? (previously Haplochromis moorii) It can get big! Up to almost 10 inches (25.4 cm) in length. The overall coloring is a beautiful blue with various amounts of black markings. It will develop a nuchal hump on its head with age. The combination of its pointy snout and hump makes it look like a dolphin, which is why its commonly called Blue Dolphin Cichlid Generally a peaceful cichlid, but males can be aggressive towards other males of their own kind. They are territorial when spawning, but unlike other cichlids they dont maintain a territory outside of breeding. Peacock cichlids make good tankmates with these gentle giants.
