Looking to get out of the Sandhills area to ride? See tons of color ? Day ride at Morrow Mountain State Park, Uwharrie: this area is close to me and I ride here often. Its a totally different landscape: clay, hardwoods, hills, marked well groomed trails. No camping, free, never crowded. No worries of hunting season, its in the State Park grounds so you might see a walker, but no bikes, dogs, strollers etc. Would love to meet anyone here. You can do the long loop in a couple of hours. Next: the Uwharrie, there are two large camp areas 4B Farm and Canebrake, both have hook ups and bath houses, and lead into the large national forest however, it is hunting season so SUnday is really the only safe day for right now.
