Looks like a great day for the beginner and micro grommet. Conditions are good early with a light offshore wind. Open beaches and protected northern corners are attracting most of the small swell but still only have waves around 1-2 ft. Main breaks around town are fairly flat. Wind will swing NE leaving the northern corners with the cleanest conditions and best waves. A high pressure ridge over the Tasman Sea is weakening and a cold front will bring weak southerly change to the south coast late on Tuesday. Another, stronger southerly change is expected to develop on the far south coast later on Thursday. Forecast for Tuesday 22 April until midnight Winds: Northerly 15 to 20 knots, reaching up to 25 knots north of Port Macquarie in the evening. Seas: 1 to 2 metres. Swell: Southerly around 1 metre. Forecast for Wednesday 23 April Winds: North to northwesterly 15 to 25 knots shifting south to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots in the morning then becoming variable about 10 knots in the middle of the day. Seas: 1 to 2 metres, decreasing below 1 metre during the morning. Swell: East to northeasterly around 1 metre. Forecast for Thursday 24 April Winds: Northerly 10 to 15 knots. Seas: Around 1 metre. Swell: Easterly below 1 metre. The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:05 pm EST Tuesday. Sea: Up to 2.0 m Swell: Up to 2.0 m coastalwatch/surf-cams-surf-reports/nsw/port-macquarie
