Looks like we could see another downpour over the next couple days and our meteorologists are closely monitoring these developing storms. To be prepared, weve repaired significant canal damage from last week’s historic rains. We’re also opening drains and reducing the amount of water in our canals hit hard last week in the Laveen area, to create capacity for potential storm water. Keep in mind our canals are designed for water delivery – not flood control. We’re coordinating with Valley cities and the Flood Control District of Maricopa County to help everyone stay safe and prepared.
