Looks like we just might end up free from the PQ, and their separatist agenda, after the elections, if the polls are correct. I want my province to be free, free from those delusional people. IMO, it does not make sense to regulate language. Its a form of communicating, nothing else. If French in Quebec is a little more lost each year, so what? Many, many languages die out, it makes no sense to be nostalgic about it, especially when you consider the cost of artificially maintaining it with the language police. And as far as culture is concerned, its organic, it changes and flows, its not concrete, cultures and ideas are exchanged. At least they SHOULD be. If French speakers want to continue to speak their language, feel free, as should all other immigrants and their descendants, and of course native Canadians who have lived in this beautiful place before European conquest, whose languages ARE dying out. After the elections, and the Liberal Party wins a majority government, I hope we can start to focus on real issues, issues the Indigenous population is facing, for example (they are the poorest of any native people in a first world country, for shame!)...OK, end rant.
