Lord I pray as I race today Keep Me safe along the way Not only Me but others too As they perform the jobs they do I know God that in a race I the driver must set the pace But in this race of life I pray Help Me Lord along the way Although I know I am a sinner Help Me to believe that with God Your always a winner ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Before I start my engine Lord I need to talk to you. And ask humbly your blessing for what Im about to do. I give you all the credit for its only by your grace, that I have reached this starting line, to run another race. The road that lies before me now uncertain it may be, But I can face this challenge , If you will ride with me. Prepare my heart and give me strength, Protect me from all harm. With ever present danger, Hold me safely in your arms. Lord bless my competition, my friends and family, May they know your LOVE for them, and see that love in me. Please guide my way, derect my path Keep my perspective true, and Lord remind me in this life that all roads lead to you. And should I cross lifes finish line please know Ive done my best Oh, Lord have mercy on my soul, and grant enternal rest. I pray your perfect will be done for when I see your face Lord all that you will judge me on is how Ive run the race. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Oh LORD grant that I may carry the true spirit of joy into racing. Help me be dependant upon YOU for my fullfilment and happiness. With all my heart I come to YOU for protection. Fortify my strength so that I may run a good race. Forgive my trespasses and give me the power to be victorious over sin so that when lifes checkered flag is waved I will have won the ultimate victory through our Savior Jesus Christ! AMEN ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lord I pray before I race for you to guide my trike with grace Through the esses and into the dip please dont let the tires slip And if you find my front swapping places with my behind guide me safely into the grass avoiding all barriers and saving my ass AMEN
