Lord Krishna said: Even if you are the worst sinner in the world; You can still cross the ocean of Sin; By a bark of wisdom. Every Hindu scripture emphasis on the fact that man’s problem is the ignorance of the truth that he/she is the immortal soul and knowledge [Jnana] eradicates ignorance. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ So SIN in Hinduism means IGNORANCE OF THE TRUE NATURE and that ignorance that ONE INDEED THE IMMORTAL SOUL or ATMAN within and having the false belief that one is the perishable body. How can one get rid of Sin? By realizing one is indeed the immortal soul or Atman within the body. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ How can one achieve that? By practicing one or all of the four paths.
