Lord on this cold Monday morning following our Thanksgiving break we come to you with heavy and broken hearts for the pain that invaded the holidays. God today we come to you begging for peace and comfort for those who lost loved ones or their home during the time most of us were celebrating. God we are lifting up to you members of our own school family as Collin and Alyssa Spears and their dad Chad lost their home and all their belongings to a house fire. God we are thankful they were not home and were not hurt. God we pray for peace and comfort for them as they begin to rebuild their lives. God we also come to you with heavy hearts as we lift up to you the families from Nixa and Sparta who lost their sons on Thanksgiving evening in a horrible vehicle accident. God these parents are now walking through and living every parents nightmare. God we pray for a peace that only you can give. God we ask you to comfort all those who loved and knew the boys. We pray for their parents and grandparents, sisters and brothers, aunts and uncles, friends, girlfriends, classmates, teachers, and all others who knew them. God we know their hearts are broken and we pray you will be the glue that holds them and their families together during this most difficult of difficult times. God we also pray for other families who are dealing with severe heartbreak as so many heartbreaking accidents happened over this Thanksgiving holiday. Please bring peace and comfort to all hearts.
