Love binds me to you in ways I dont understand, Yet here I lay beside you not knowing who I am, I know Im lost I can feel it deep inside me, Thats why I cry as you lie beside me, Pain beckons me each night when Im alone, While you sleep soundly in our humble little home, I know Im lost I can feel it deep inside me, Thats why I cry while you lie beside me, Each morning when I wake your up and your gone, To work for the food we eat in this humble little home, So I hate you not for the pain I feel when youre never home, I dont hate you for the tears I shed, Or the many nights I sob myself to sleep, Because I know Ive hurt you to at least you keep us Fed, I know Ive caused you many tears Ive listened to you weep, Thats why I hate you not for love we soon wont keep, I know Im lost I feel it deep inside me, Thats why I cry as you lie beside me, We started out so young together, So in love we lived and breathed while flying on a feather, Both damaged, Both deranged, Neither knowing where life would take us, We hoped, We lived, We lost, And in the end in passion filled vengeance we paid the final cost, No not our lives or anyones weve met, But an innocent inside me Ill never be able to forget, Never knowing what name to cast, On an infant to young to know to early to show or last, This pain kills me everyday, But Ill live I have to the dawn brought a new day, I know Im lost I feel it deep inside me, Thats why I cry while you lie beside me, No Ill never hate you I couldnt if I tried, Because to hate you need a heart and I lost mine the day our fetus died.
