Lilyan Rachele Tristan, 8, of Moline, passed away painlessly and peacefully on Friday, Oct 10, 2014 in Hannover, Germany, after almost 5 weeks of fighting a courageous battle with acute liver failure,she ultimately succumbed to cerebral edema and multiple organ failures despite receiving two separate liver transplants. Funeral services will be 4:30 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be the same day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations for the Tristan family may be made online at gofundme/fuvgqs In addition to the services there is a separately organized balloon release, information for which can be found here https://facebook/events/1577610652462414/ Lilyan was born on April 4, 2006 in Moline, Illinois the daughter of Alibi Tristan and Michael Nobiling. Her mother married Felipe Tristan, also of Moline, in 2008 and the family moved to Hawaii shortly after where her dad was stationed with the United States Marine Corps. Lilyan had a brother named Nikolai born in 2011 while the family was still in Hawaii. Being a part of a Military family for the majority of her life, Lilyan was able to live all over the world to include Hawaii, Florida, and most recently in Germany. Lilyan was an incredibly talented and passionate artist who has had multiple works of art displayed in her hometowns as well as winning awards for her works. Lilyan was an avid animal lover, from bugs to horses, she had compassion for all living things. She really enjoyed horseback riding and took lessons during her time in Florida in 2013 where she would do everything to include brushing, saddling, and trail riding. Lilyan was able to communicate a little Spanish, Hawaiian, and even German and was always eager to learn. She loved being a big sister to Nikolai, she took her role very seriously and was always proud to protect him. Lilyan enjoyed traveling around Europe and was able to visit many popular destinations. Paris was her ultimate destination as she always wanted to see the Eiffel Tower. In August of this year a dream was was fulfilled when she got to go with her family and visit the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. Lilyan has seen much of the world and touched many lives, she will be forever missed by people from all over.
