Love is a crazy thing. You meet someone and your emotions let go. - TopicsExpress

Love is a crazy thing. You meet someone and your emotions let go. You see the positive in everything, you are excited to wake up in the morning, and you go out of your way for them. You find yourself doing crazy things for love. Love is better than any substance or drug. Love is better than any material possessions or earthly object. Love is beautiful and honest. Well I fell in love yesterday, and her name is Julie. I better tell the whole story behind Julie. I found Julie on Craigslist yesterday morning. I was looking for some snowmobiles and came across her ad. I normally would just keep cruising by but I could tell her dad was really needing some help. Tom, her dad, is a Marine who served this great country. I messaged Tom about Julie and asked when I could meet her. He was so eager to have us come see her. He sent directions and waited for us. We followed the GPS to the address he gave us and as we turned the corner we realized that this meeting was far more important than we had thought. We pulled up to the address, it was the Catholic Mission Homeless Shelter. In that moment my heart sank. I understood the reality of what was happening now. Tom was a marine who had lost his job, his home, and now his family. He was more concerned for Julies well-being and not his own. A selfless man. He knew that the shelter was no place for her to stay. When we got there the excitement on Toms face was outpouring. He was so happy that someone had responded to his pleas for help. We met Julie and she was a nervous wreck. He explained that he took Julie from a family member who had abused her, he gave her a home and had loved her. Tom wanted her to have a good loving home. To be taken care of and protected. My heart was breaking for Tom. This man was so happy to see her go, but he was also heartbroken and now alone. She got in the truck with us and within minutes her life and ours had changed. See Julie is a 2 year old Black Lab and Australian Shepherd mix. She is laid back but very protective. She has been well trained and is very obedient. She is beautiful and smart. Eric Caudill and I pulled into the feed store with Julie and in minutes she understood that we were part of her new life. She adored us. She obeyed us. She took to us immediately. And we started falling in love with her. We took Julie for a walk and the nerves started to dissipate quickly. By the time we got her back to the ranch last night it was dark and she was so tired. She cuddled up on the couch with us and drifted off to sleep. So this morning I share Julies story. Her story of Love. Her owner Tom having enough love for her to let her go. To know that she would be better off with someone who could give her the open space, the care and attention, and the Love she deserved. Thanks Tom. Thank you for serving our country. Thank you for being a real man. And thank you for this wonderful pup.
