Also, youll notice that patience and love are fruits of the Spirit, but that in order to be love, one must be patient. Love is patient. We overlook this, along with all the other descriptions of love so easily, because reading it makes us feel good and thats all we need. But when you truly begin to study love and coincide it directly with Gods love for us, just those first three words are mind blowing. Realize that God is full of so much love for us, that even when we were sinners, and when were caught in sin, God is patient enough to wait for our return. God is love. Love is patient. God is patient. All of the descriptions of love, are direct descriptions of who God is. And if the God of the universe loves me enough to be patient with me through all my stupidity, then thats saying something. So heres to a patient God. The God of Love. ~Michael Schaffer
