Loves Imperative :an essential or urgent thing. Its usually easy to be nice to people who are cordial. Its easy when people in the work place do their jobs and cooperate with us. Traffic goes along much better when we decide to be nice and yield the right of way even when its really our turn. But loving people that treat us crudely or rudely or disrespectfully is quite another issue. I John 3:10 This is how Gods children-and the Devils children-are made evident. Whoever does not do what is right is not of God, especially the one who does not love his brother. 11 For this is the message you have heard from the beginning: we should love one another, 12 unlike Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil, and his brothers were righteous. So not every brother is going to love us. Understood. But Jesus loved us and them. He asks us to let His love flow through us to the people who just are not loving. He did not say they would reciprocate. Someone is watching your love responses today. They are watching to see if a Christian is a bigot, a glutton, self centered or a liar. They listen to see if a Christian verbally attacks another, laughs at off color remarks or leaves a cheap tip. Love is imperative.
