Loving The Blessed & Most Noble Ahl Al Bayt Bayt (Alayhi Salaam) Our Fardh, Not Choice. [A Personal Observation] Most recently we posted a hadith in which our Prophet Sallahu Ahlayhi Wasalam was praising Ali (Alayhisalaam) Imaam At-Tirmidhi (ra) reports in his Sunan: “Hadhrat Abu Sareehah or Hadhrat Zayd Ibn Arqam Radhiallaahu `Anhumaa said that Nabi Sallallaahu `Alayhi Wa Sallam Said: “Whoever I am a Mawla (master/supporter) for, then `Ali (Alayhisalaam) is his Mawla.” Imaam Ahmad (ra)reports in his Musnad: “Sa`eed Ibn Wahb said: “`Ali (Alayhisalaamu) beseeched the people, so five or six of the Companions of Nabi Sallallaahu `Alayhi Wa Sallam stood up and bore witness that Rasoolullaah Sallallaahu `Alayhi Wa Sallam said: “Whoever I am a master Mawla (master/supporter) for, then `Ali (Alayhisalaamis his Mawla.” NOTE: this ahadith is universally accepted as authentic and no one has even questioned its authenticity as it is found if many books of hadith, namely , Sunan At-Tirmidhi, Saheeh Ibn Hibbaan, Sunan An-Nasaa’ee, Sunan Ibn Maajah, the Musnad of Imaam Ahmad to name some. Yet When It Was Posted on our twitter page A ‘Sunni’ . Questioned it and it’s authenticity and said that Ali (as) couldn’t and wasn’t revered to as a ‘Master (Astagfirullah), shame on him, which Muslims would question first and foremost the rank of imam ali (as) secondly the words of RasoolAllah Sallahu Ahlayhi Wa Ahlihi Wasalam in authenticated hadiths … As Shaykh Sayyid Muhammad Bin Yahya Al Husayni An Ninowy said , These Nisabis are found among the Sunnis. The Nawasib are so corrupt that they try to inject their blasphemous views toward the Sunni Madhab. How do they do this? They do this by giving us shaytaini inspirations. They tell the average Sunni to: • Prevent naming their children Ali, Hassan or Hussain • Not name their mosques after Imam Ali (as) • Not talk about Imam Ali (as) seerah or gives his examples • Not wear black cause that is a color which is restricted to the people of the shia sect • Not mention the merits of Imam Ali (as) On top of that the Nisabis deny the merits of Imam Ali (as) which are graded as sahih. The Nawasib in reality are not Sunnis. The reason is Sunnis believe in Imam Ali (as) as a guide and acknowledge his merits. قُل لا أَسألكم عَلَيه أَجراً إلا المَوَدّةَ في القُربَى “Say, ‘I do not ask of you a recompense for this, except love for my kinsfolk.” (Quran: 42:33.) As an example above, no where is it mentioned that we should pick and choose which members of the ahlul bayt we want to follow, the status we can not aspire too because the ahlul bayt (as) have been chosen, so those who impose questions such as they are Shia their not syed (Astagfirulah) or they are Sunni their not syed (Astagfirulah), If It was a gift that Allah SWT chose these particular members as the Ahlul Bayt then who has the audacity to pick and choose whom amongst them we should follow and who amongst them we should and shouldn’t call Syed, in relation to the quranic ayat above, it does not mention that we love them if they are righteous or hate them if they are unrighteous. We love them righteous or unrighteous. Umar (ra) Reproaches Someone who Insulted Hazrat Ali (Alayhisalaam) Urwa (ra) narrates that someone once insulted Hazrat Ali (Alayhisalaam) in the presence of Umar (ra). Umar (ra) said, “Do you know that occupant of this tomb? He is Muhammad, the son of Abdullah, who was the son of Abdul Muttalib. Ali (Alayhisalaam) is the son of Abu Talib (Alayhisalaam) who was also the son of Abdul Muttalib (Alayhisalaam). You should therefore only speak good of Ali (Alayhisalaam) because if you hurt Ali (Alayhisalaam), you will be hurting the one in this tomb.” Reference: Ibn Asaakir, as quoted in Muntakhab kanzul Ummaal (Volume 5 Page 46) That which Allah giveth as spoil unto His messenger from the people of the townships, it is for Allah and His messenger and for the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer... (59:7) and know that whatever ye take as spoils of war, lo! a fifth thereof is for Allah, and for the messenger and for the kinsman (who hath need) and orphans and the needy and the wayfarer (8:41) The Prophet said: I am leaving among you the two weighty matters: Allahs Book and the People of my House. Narrated by Muslim, Tirmidhi, and Ahmad through many chains. Some of these narrations state: I am leaving among you the two weighty matters: Allahs Book and (the People of) my mantle: these two shall never part ways until they come to me at the Pond. Therefore attend to how you act with them after me. The Prophet said about Ali, Whoever has me for a master, Ali is his master. O Allah, befriend the one who befriend him and oppose the one who opposes him! (Ibn Hanbal.) He also said to him, Only a believer will love you and only a hypocrite will hate you.(Muslim.) He said to al-Abbas, By the One who has my soul in His hand, belief will not enter a mans heart until he loves Allah and His Messenger. Whoever harms my uncle has harmed me. A mans uncle is like his father.(At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah.) إِنّمَا يُرِيدُ اللهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرً
