Loving and obeying God’s commandment is as follows: 1. Thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with thy entire mind; and thy neighbor as thyself. (Luke 10:27) Now hear this: When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.” Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you truly love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.” The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.”(John 21:15-17) These were Jesus’ words to Peter in John 21:15-17. It’s what he expected of him to show him that his love for Jesus was authentic. This love and obedience must be complete and genuine. Now friends do this; acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace; thereby good shall come unto thee. (Job 22:15) Be blessed in the name of Jesus.
