Low Self Esteem is one of the most common personality disorders.It gives rise to depression and even suicide.Low self esteem does not neccessarily lead to suicide,one might have LSE but have zero suicidal tendencies. Many factors contribute to LSE,some of which are:childhood,t emperament,chil dhood environment,som etimes IQ,etc. The symptoms or characteristics of LSE are not too far-fetched.Peo ple with LSE have emotional breakdown often.They always see themselves as not being able to do something succeccfully even when they have all the potentials and abilities to doing that thing to completion.They shy out of social gatherings and tend to weave a web of protection around themselves which doesnt last as they soon crash back to a level worse than the one they were. LSE does not mean shyness,someone might be shy but carries his/ herself in high esteem.People with LSE have a childhood record of broken homes,divorced parents,child abuse and drug abuse.Most terrorists are people with LSE,they use terrorism as a way to make them feel ok or important,since they have such low self esteem of themselves. People with LSE usually feel worthless and meaningless.If you have a friend,relative ,family member thats suffering from LSE,always do encourage them because they feel so terrible about themselves. Also.studies have shown that people with high IQ,develop LSE with time.They normally think of themselves as not being able to do it,whereas they are the ones with the most potentials to do it. TREATMENT: There is no medicative treatment for LSE,only psycho- therapy. People with LSE should be encouraged and motivated from time to time.Whenever you feel hurt as a sufferer,unders tand that it is just for a time and find a way to snap out of it before it gets you depressed and grips you down. Try talking to friends and people that make you feel worthful,hang out with motivators and encouragers.Rea d books that motivate and encourage.Talk to a counsellor.Do things you like doing like:going fishing,shoppin g,etc.Think less of what makes you sad or of a flaw you have,everyone has flaws,no one is perfect,but in our imperfection,we see beauty. Have a general positive view of life.Speak to yourself and encourage yourself.With time,youll get over it and become whole.Your wounds will will and the scars will disappear,its only a matter of time....
