Loyalty is a great virtue. Anyone is expected to be loyal specially to relationships wether at home or at work otherwise you can be accused of ungratefulness or even worse, betrayal. But then it starts and ends on sheer expectations. No one can demand loyalty to anyone. It is a prerogative that belongs to the party involved. Christ has been betrayed for thirty pieces of silver, Bonifacio was betrayed allegedly by Aguinaldo it is common knowledge that the main cause of broken families is caused by unfaithful husbands. Fine. But in the political kingdom, loyalty can never be demanded. as one statesman once quoted, Loyalty to party ends where loyalty to country begins. Good afternoon !
