Lucia Ashta and I went to VOC today and gave out packets of information on Smart Meters. We were very pleased to speak with an Atomic Physicist while there. (Ill get full name and info about his book on atoms here tomorrow or Lucia will post it.) Hes opted out and gave us a small lesson on atoms. Verrrry interesting. Upon returning home I received a call from APS. The call was generated by my formal complaint filed with the ACC. The rep, Cindy, was very informative. This is what I learned: Letters have been sent and will continue to be sent to all Sedona residents regarding meter installation and opt out directions. The meters are not slated to be installed until early April now. Cindy assured me that all of the letters will reach the residents prior to that time and people will have time to opt out. I pointed out the problem for people who call in and get the speech then get questioned as to why they want to opt out. I also pointed out the issue with the website and the lack of ability to get to the opt out on line area. I have not been able to get to it for a week. Tomorrow I am calling her back and shes going to walk me through it step by step then I will share it here. I was not in front of a computer at the time of our call. What I learned is, the letters we write to the ACC board do matter, very much. The more people write them, the more pressure there is on APS and our comments become part of the public record. I wrote one letter then sent it to each member. Susan Bitter Smiths assistant wrote and said it would become part of the public record. Brenda Burns is the one who had APS call me. There are 5 board members. Please write.
