Hartwall Arena-“ in a new shining armor” In the new season of KHL championship Hartwall Arena gave a joyful experience to many spectators by lightning up with the latest super-technology that cannot be seen in any arena around Europe or Russia – the stanchion lights. The whole perimeter of the arena sparkled up with bright colors due to “built-in luminodiode racks”. This, of course gives a whole lot of beauty to the home matches of the HC Jokerit. The amount of colors in these mini-led-screens is approx. 265 000. They are programmed individually for projecting different colorful pictures and even texts. For example, at the time of the anthem performance during the Jokerit-Dinamo (Minsk) match, the stanchion light racks projected the colors of the flags for each country. LED-screens are set into the see-through glazing made of polycarbonate. The rack itself is integrated into the hockey rail of the arena and the cables are neatly hidden into the frame side. The screens are double-sided and therefore project the light both into the ice rink and into the arena hall. This project was designed and realized by a Finnish company ICEPRO- the manufacturer of the ice hockey rinks equipment.
