Luke 2:13-14 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host - TopicsExpress

Luke 2:13-14 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests. ....... While Christs birth goes unnoticed here on earth, its being highly honored in heaven. All the angels in heaven cant contain themselves because they are filled with so much joy! They burst forth and let the poor shepherds in the fields hear them preaching, singing, praising, and pouring out their joy beyond measure. Notice how God honors those who are despised by the world? Here you see that Gods eyes are turned towards the low places, for God sits above the angels and looks down to the depths. The angels werent sent to princes or powerful people, but rather to the uneducated, lowliest people on earth. You might think they wanted to speak to the high priests, and highly educated men in Jerusalem? The ones worthy of receiving such great honor from heaven were the poor shepherds, who were considered nobodies by the world. God completely ignores what is high and mighty. Still, we race around madly to reach useless heights on earth to be honored in heaven. But Gods eyes are only turned to the depths. Dont you forget what Christmas is really about. Christmas is about the birth of yours and my Savior, who is sitting at the right hand of the Father. He loves the lowly and Jesus came to this earth for only one reason? To save sinners like me, and yes, you. I want to thank each and every one of you who so faithfully come by each day, and I want wish each and everyone a most blessed Christmas ever! Love you my friends~
