Luke ‘Broomy’ Brookfield. Another import from the good ol’ - TopicsExpress

Luke ‘Broomy’ Brookfield. Another import from the good ol’ US of A. Luke had a tough start to his TG career after signing in December due to the form of the guys already in possession of the defensive shirts it took quite a while for Brooky to get an opportunity to prove his quality. After a nightmare full debut against Blessed Sacrement where someone had placed callipers on Luke legs, another spell on the bench ensued before regaining and keeping his place in the historical run in where he was simply majestic. Luke’s pace and reading of the game alongside the Skipper formed an outstanding centre back partnership that didn’t concede a goal from open play in the last 4 games. Quality player. Michael ‘Kenno’ Kennedy. Despite a couple of cameos over the years for TG, this was also Mike’s debut season for the Blackjacks. Another of the now famous 5 from America, Mike, despite his fetish for conceding needless penalties, was quite simply the best left back in the league last season…and he’s not even a left back!! Tough, competitive and strong as hell, along with Ranks (in the first half of the season) we had two of the best attacking wide players in the league starting their attacks from full back. Great desire and will to win, even in training, Mike also chipped in with a couple of goals during the season, one vital one in the cup against Hoole. Player of the year contender.
