Luna went to a wonderful home, her new Mom drove from Palatka to Alachua with her two dogs, Maximus and Camille and was love at first sight. But now let me tell you all how Luna came to GGARR. Back in February, Grace Acosta was contacted by Save a Sato an incredible rescue group in Puerto Rico that works tirelessly saving stray dogs from San Juan. Sidnia Delgado, a Save a Sato volunteer wrote that there more than 200,000 homeless and abused dogs wondering the streets and Luna was one of those dogs. She was dumped on the street when her owners moved out of the Country. She wandered the streets for months, fearful and hungry. One day a volunteer from Save A Sato met her and fell in love with her. Save A Sato was hoping to have a Happy Ending for Luna, a 2 years old, 76 pounds female Rottie. Luna wants a chance to find a family of her own. Grace agreed to take Luna if transport could be found for her. Grace asked Diana Alcazar, GGARR Volunteer and Rescue Coordinator, to find and coordinate transport for Luna from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Miami. Sidnia and Diana got in touch and after combined efforts to bring Luna to Miami, finally the time came for a better and brighter future for Luna. An Anonymous person paid to fly her from San Juan to Miami International and a friend drove her to Mueller Animal Hospital. So yesterday all the efforts from so many great people paid off. Yesterday was Lunas day. A long story this is, I know, but I want you all to know what the Guardian Angels do to save a Rottweiler life.
