AHRC PhD studentship: The doctoral project should review the problems concerning online visualization of archives and consider and explore new methods for conceptualizing the multi-dimensional and disparate Ministry of Information materials. Depending on the balance the successful candidate prefers to strike between theoretical or practice-led research s/he will either be able to make a clearly defined but significant contribution to the modelling, accession and organisation of the Ministry of Information archive materials, their presentation and use in the project’s web based resource, or both. In addition the student will be encouraged to take a leading role in the ongoing use of an online Digital Lab space where digital representations of the archive and tools built for interrogating it will be explored experimentally as part of the process of developing the final Ministry of Information Digital resource.
