Lutheran Church of Southern Africa pastors reflect on the DOXOLOGY conference at Lutheran Theological Seminary in Tshwane Jan 20-22: (these men daily minister in Zulu and Tswana languages) The topics...touched on heavy and complicated issues. Yet the teachers managed to communicate this in a delightful, meaningful and wonderful way. It was very helpful for the concrete problems we experience in the ministry, congregation, Church and missions. It helped to ease tensions, help to lift burdens and lighten up hope in the lives of many participants. It was of great assistance to address the real matters of concern in our lives as pastors and in our church. ....We will take this up in our diocesan meetings and discuss these various topics at length and one after the other over the coming year. We are hopeful to have Professor Senkbeil and Yahnke back again as they were very good speakers and easy to listen to. The variation in topics, speakers and modes (video, speech, workgroups) was quite stimulating and helpful too.
