Luton Protest 31st December 2014 Conference on “Return of - TopicsExpress

Luton Protest 31st December 2014 Conference on “Return of Khilafah and Jihaad” the correct understanding. The English Defence League will be exercising its legal right to peacefully protest in Luton and will expect the Police to uphold the law of this country and facilitate this. We should have no ‘Muslim no go areas’ in this country where the Police cannot guarantee the protesters safety! In an alleged statement from the Board of Trustees, Luton Islamic Centre they say ‘the whole purpose of this conference is to refute the ideas of ISIS and Al Muhajaroon’. If this is the case then the Luton Islamic Centre should immediately and publically denounce ISIS, the theory of Jihad, Al Muhajaroon, Al-Qaida and other extremist groups. We also suggest they change their promotional video and literature on their web site to reflect this stance, as we can find no trace of it at calltoislam. It was also said in the alleged statement that the English Defence League is being “completely deceptive and dishonest” in its promotional video for the protest as it “shows images of key Al Mahajaroon leaders, deliberately giving the impression that they are behind the conference”. These images and names were taken directly from the Call to Islam video and that video is still available today at calltoislam and moreover they also state on their website that four of the five “Highly Regarded Scholars” shown in the video are attending – no lies from us then! The English Defence League will always legally and peacefully protest against hate preaching on our streets and behind the closed doors of a conference and we must point out that some of the “Highly Regarded Scholars” are proven hate speakers against Jews and people of non-Islamic faith – a situation the English Defence League will always oppose. The English Defence League finds it difficult to comprehend how these “Highly Regarded Scholars” will be able to denounce some parts of the Qur’an and uphold other parts and thus undermining the very concept and platform that Islam is based on; the Qur’an and the word of the Prophet Mohammed. If the true purpose of this conference is to publically denounce ISIS and the Khilafah and all extremist groups, then we ask that they allow a few members of the English Defence League access to the three days of the conference to monitor this and then publically confirm it. This can and will only help with community relations and cohesion at a time of heightened mistrust between communities caused by hate preachers and extremist groups. We await a response.
