Lying in waiting Not having a care Aimlessly Not knowing what you’re waiting for Walking in wide circles Arcing around town Waiting for the inevitable to happen Having no hope in the future, but yet Knowing that you should wait for the end of it all A train arrives Comes out a lone passenger Clad in a black coat Carrying a heavy suitcase Filled with eternal mysteries As you step out of town Knowing that what you have waited for has finally come Breaking a habit of sluggish routine You throw yourself in a run Dash across town Wind blows in the opposite direction Towards the eye of the storm Vortex in the middle of the station Composed of malformed limbs and bloody pulps As the unknown passenger’s coat flew off And wings sprouted from his back Children, women, men, and elderly took refuge behind pillars But most of them were those drawn in Into the storm of malignant hatred Diabolical fangs barred, the demon blew a wisp of air And all moved inward into the storm Running past panicking people You see blood, fear, hatred, and guilt You escape with your life, knowing Your role was to save yourself And tell the tale Of the demon Bringing thunderous storms And you shall call him Skorn The demon walks across the heaps Of bodies as he reaps Souls of the undead he transforms Black with angst they all disappear into and orb of darkness
