Directed by David El’ Hatton with a cast of some of the finest performers in the area, this classic comedy centers on the well-intentioned yet slightly murderous Brewster clan. “Arsenic and Old Lace” was written by Joseph Kesselring and premiered on Broadway in 1939 playing 1,444 performances. It then moved to London for a 1,337 performance run before being made into a hit movie starring Cary Grant. It is considered by most to be one of the greatest American comedies of the Twentieth Century and inspired many other true farcical comedies through the years. John Cox leads the cast as Mortimer Brewster, the beleaguered nephew of the slightly crazy, and maybe deadly, Aunt Abby and Aunt Martha, played by Terri A. Wilkes and Dana Dunnavant. The rest of the hilarious cast includes Victoria Lubonovich, Charles Simon, David Jendre, Frank Martin, Tom O’Donnell, Ezekiel Ellis, Jim Hain, Joseph Scarvell, Daniel Lancy, Vijay Welch-Young, and Dennis Villa. Becca Kopchak and Dorene White serve as production stage managers with original costume design by Liz Nalepa. Performances are scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays, March 28 and 29 and April 4 and 5 at 7:30 pm, and Sundays, March 31 and April 6 at 2:30 pm.
