After seeing her in the opening and in that scene in Academia, she gives off a punk vibe. So maybe shell play a Fusion Deck with a Punk-esque design of Earth-attribute female Warrior monsters Im guessing. ~000~ What if she plays a metal/ rock music theme? Like how Standard Yuzu plays classical music deck?! ~000~ Is this really Ruri? Why does she wear an Acadamia uniform then? :? Cant wait to see her deck though. ~000~ I still feel like its Synchro!Yuzu... Hopefully Im proven wrong (or right lmao) soonish. ~000~ Hairwise she gives me Shun vibes though. Brainwashed maybe? ~000~ The only real possibilities is that she would be Fusion Yuzu. Especially considering that she was the girl who was at the Academia with Sora, and was with that big guy in episode 38. Meaning that she is without a doubt from the Academia and that she is Fusion Yuzu. Her being Ruri would be wierd, considering how she is going to attack Hokuto and be confronted by Reiji. My guess is that we wont see Ruri until Shun has a flashback of her during his inevitable duel with Yuzu, his duel against Yuya, or if Shun actually meets Fusion Yuzu and mistakes her for Ruri. The writers seem to be holding off on showing us Ruri and I expect her first appearance to be more... plot focused than just two brief moments in episode 38. Synchro Yuzu probably will make an appearance, albeit in a flashback, before we see Ruri if they are going in chronological order of Fusion (Yuris waifu), then Synchro (Yugos waifu), then Xyz (Ruri, who is Shuns waifu Yutos waifu). I wonder if Synchro Yuzu will have a criminal maker on her face like Yusei did if they want to show more 5Ds references. If Ruri says Kattobing or any of its variations... I must say that it would be interesting. If she does say Kattobing or its variants, a drinking game for each mention of Kattobing. Though whe ARC-V gets dubbed and if she were to use that catchphase, I suppose she could literally High-Five The Sky if she rides on Rise Falcon. Inb4 Shun mentions in the dub he wants Ruri back so she can fufill her wish to high-five the sky :trollface: On a totally unrelated note: Reiji has DD and DeDeDe DDD. If he gets the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon expy that is 3 Hell Armageddon combined then he will have DDDD (Different Dimension Daemon Dragon). If he takes that to the next level then we could have Different Dimension Daemon Dragon Deity, the true 5Ds monster which would be a throwback to Five-Headed Dragon. :awecm: Though you know what would be amusing? If Ruri joined the Academia of her own free will *le gasp* because the Xyz Dimension pushed Xyz Summoning onto her without letting her explore Fusion or Synchro. She didnt like the idea of being confined to just 1 summoning method so she could learn to use Fusion alongside her Xyzs. Then Yuri came along and convinced her to join Academia of her own choice... before later brainwashing her so that she would have the inevitable duel with Shun, where him shouting RURI!!! continuously would be as lol-worthy as that time where Kaito did little more than yell Harutos name. Then again, Ruri joining Academia like that would make her almost as stupid as Mai during the DOMA arc where she joined to get revenge on Joey... for no other reason so that Joey could rescue his totally-not-girlfriend from DOMA and give him something to do in that arc. ~000~ We all want to see Ruri, since Yuto and Shun havent shut up about her for 30+ episodes. And yet it still feels too soon to be showing her, and the way this girl was presented doesnt seem like the sort of fashion that Ruri would be introduced in. Someone on Tumblr pointed out how Reiji, Shun, and Soras last names are colour themed, and how they all have younger siblings (save Sora.). The theory was that the girl is Fusion!Yuzu, and shes Soras older sister (They both have green eyes and blueish hair.). It could explain why she was outside his examination room and smirking. If they are related, that is. She might have gone to Standard to either a) Stir up trouble as payback for what happened to Sora, or b) Take XYZ users out herself and rub it in his face. But I keep thinking about that damn bracelet, and it keeps throwing me off. Honestly, I wonder if Yugo even saw his Yuzu get taken. A dumb theory Ive had is that she left the Synchro dimension willingly to spy on Academia and perhaps destroy it from the inside out, but never told Yugo because she didnt want him involved. Of course, this theory kind of falls apart, since one has to wonder why Yugo thought the XYZ dimension was behind her disappearance, and the only logical thing aside from him jumping to conclusions is that he is indeed a pawn of Fusion. Albeit an unwilling one thats being manipulated. Alternatively (and with Tumblr theories in mind) maybe she just got tired of him running into lampposts and wants him out of her life so she can hook up with someone whos a much better driver. ~000~ We have uniform colors as GX reference. Criminal marker would be a neat 5Ds reference indeed. As for that K-word, just no... I would prefer her having Vector rapeface as Zexual reference BTW, I think Yuri, Fusion Yuzu and the unknown big guy are going to be rivals to the Arc-V awesome trio (i.e. Yuya, Yuzu and Gongenzaka). Reiji will just sit on a chair and watch.
