MAH SING OFFERS AFFORDABLE HOMES AT BELOW RM500,000. KUALA LUMPUR: Property developer Mah Sing Group Bhd says 45 per cent of its targeted residential launches this year comprises mass market segment affordable products priced at RM500,000 and below. General Manager Lyanna Tew said Mah Sing has a good selection of affordable units from its current 38 active projects. As a market driven developer, we have been preparing for this (affordable housing) since two years ago. Our selection of the mass market products will benefit first-time home buyers, the emerging middle-class and those looking for affordable landed and high-rise properties, she added. Tew told Bernama this after Mah Sing received the certificate of approval for the establishment of an auxiliary police force from the Royal Malaysian Police, at a ceremony here Tuesday. She said among the affordable housing being offered this year is the Savanna Executive Suites in Southville City, comprising mainly three-bedroom serviced apartments from 956 square feet onwards and priced from RM 318,000 per unit. The Southville City is a freehold, mass market township project located in Bangi. She said the developers M-Residence project in Rawang offers mostly link houses priced from RM400,000 per unit. Its Cyberjayas Garden Plaza project offers two-to-four bedrooms lifestyle suites priced from RM 300,800, a fully furnished type and purchasers can move in by 2015. In Johor Baharu, she said Mah Sing has an affordable project in Iskandar Malaysia, the Meridin BayVue, with three-bedroom serviced apartments from 980 square feet, priced from RM288,000 and set to be previewed in the second half of this year. Tew said Mah Sing will be one of the biggest exhibitors at this years Starproperty Fair to be held at the Setia City Convention Centre in Shah Alam from May 30-June 1, in Penang at Gurney Plaza from July 24-27, in Petaling Jaya at the Tropicana City Mall from Oct 17-19, and also at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from Nov 21-23. -- BERNAMA
